Good morning, Waco.

Jayce's Grocery store opened last Monday at 10412 China Spring Road to provide residents with natural foods from local vendors.

Owner Vorie Miller, who named the store after her son, said it will offer fresh herbs, honey, and artisan bread for a convenient, short drive.

Waco families are squeezed by rising child care costs that force parents to choose between paid work and staying home, which may strain the local workforce (with effects on careers like nursing and teaching).

TCU's Olivia Miles scored 40 points as the Horned Frogs beat Baylor 83-67 Thursday night at Foster Pavilion.

Baylor's Taliah Scott reached 1,000 career points while adding 22 as TCU pulled away in the second half.
