- ➤ Local businesses in Waco saw a boost as Baylor hosted the first two rounds of the women's NCAA tournament and spring break brought extra visitors this past weekend. The Dr Pepper Museum reported a 23% increase in attendance year-to-date—other restaurants and bars also experienced higher traffic. KXXV
- ➤ Business news shows Hillsboro will demolish its 356,296-square-foot outlet mall from April 17-20 — paving the way for redevelopment — while a Kilwins chocolate store at 323 S. Sixth St. will open in April and HTeaO will launch its third local location near H-E-B. - ➤ Immigration reform advocates are pushing to secure the border and protect undocumented workers as over 140 CEOs and business leaders plan to meet with Congress in Washington, D.C. in the coming days; immigration attorney Hector Quiroga said many people are scared after recent orders (70% of longtime residents have lived here for about ten years).
