- ➤ Lorena Police Department is asking for help after a motorcyclist reportedly drove recklessly near IH 35 on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., prompting officers to chase him before stopping near Waco due to high speeds and road conditions—he is described as a white male around 6'5" and 160 pounds, wearing a black hooded top with blue jeans while riding a sport bike with a blue tank and no license plate. - ➤ Lawmakers are considering a cleanup bill that would let McLennan Community College award credits to students transferring to Baylor University—this change would address a gap in state law that currently gives credit only to transfers going to state four-year schools. Waco Tribune-Herald
- ➤ Woodway Mayor Amine Qourzal is running for a third term on the city council on May 3 as newcomer tech consultant Charles Anderson challenges his seat.
