- ➤ Goodwill’s first child care center, located at 119 N. Hewitt Drive, is back on track after early renovation delays and will soon serve 175-200 children while offering an income-based sliding fee scale and employing 34 workers. Waco Tribune-Herald
- ➤ Valor Preparatory Academy senior Everett Jensen was named the Rotary Youth Citizenship Award winner Monday at the Rotary Club of Waco’s 46th ceremony. He received the honor for his dedication to community service. Waco Tribune-Herald
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The City of Waco will add nearly $1 million at Creekside Village, a tiny home community assisting 300 homeless people. The funding will pay for water upgrades and build up to 20 homes for veterans (15 percent of the local homeless population) in the next few weeks. KXXV
