- ➤ A new Chick-Fil-A opens today on Creekview Drive at 2417—locally owned by Texas native Jake Roye, who has been part of the community since 1996—and is the city’s fifth location. The restaurant will offer dine-in from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays while its drive-thru remains open one hour beyond in-store hours. KCENTV

- ➤ The Falls County Sheriff’s Office led a multi-agency operation that resulted in over 20 arrests tied to a drug trafficking ring active since April 2024—residents said the bust brought long-awaited relief and renewed hope for community safety. KXXV

- ➤ On Wednesday, the Texas House debated a package of school-related bills that includes a teacher pay raise of up to $10,000, school choice, and elimination of STAAR testing.
