- ➤ The 6 News Book Drive delivered over 3,000 books to local children to boost summer reading. Volunteers and partners — including Transformation Waco — dropped off boxes at sites like Estella Maxey to help fight the summer slide. KCENTV
- ➤ Residents reported litter buildup on the suspension bridge online, prompting city crews to clean the area within two days. Bruce Huff of W Bench Litter Patrol now calls for fines and cameras to stop tortilla tossing (a problem near the bridge). KXXV
