- ➤ Recent spring rains raised Lake Waco’s level to about 463.25 feet, over its normal pool by a foot, as the Army Corps of Engineers releases water for future storms. Officials advise boaters and swimmers to use caution (hidden hazards like submerged stumps can be dangerous). KCENTV

- ➤ Baylor football canceled its 2027-2028 Oregon home series and announced game times for upcoming contests — home opener vs Prairie View A&M Sept. 12 at 7:00 p.m., Louisiana Tech Sept. 19 at 3:00 p.m., and an away game at UCF Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. KXXV
