  • Curry Up and Wok This Way, a local Thai restaurant, plans to open its first brick-and-mortar on University Parks Drive by year’s end after its Union Grove Woodway spot closed two months ago. It will offer outdoor seating (and a bar) while continuing service at Union Hall.  KXXV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Today, Waco Regional Airport is applying for an FAA grant to attract a new airline + expand flight options for Central Texas travelers. Airport Manager James Harris said the move aims to improve reliability and support local growth with ready-to-use infrastructure.  KXXV

SPORTS NEWS

  • Robinson Rocket baseball won a tight 1-0 game against Wimberley to advance to the UIL 4A Division 2 State Championship and is set to face the winner of the Brock + Frisco Panthers matchup on Friday.  KXXV
  • Baylor football has announced a home-and-home series with Maryland for 2027 and 2028 — the Bears will play in College Park on Sept. 18, 2027 and host Maryland at McLane Stadium on Sept. 16, 2028, marking only their third meeting since 1956.  KXXV
