- ➤ Caritas of Waco has helped fight hunger and poverty since 1967—serving over 91,000 neighbors in 2024 with food, enrollment assistance and emergency resources. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On May 31, 2025, Morgan’s Point Resort Fire-Rescue responded to a boating accident on Lake Belton when a boat ran aground near an island, and four people were rescued—one of whom showed a possible head injury—before being transported to the marina for treatment. KXXV

- ➤ Waco police are asking for help to find the parents of 3-year-old Prince after he was found alone Monday morning in the 2200 block of Creekview Drive—if you have any clues, please call 254-750-7500. KXXV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ La Vega ISD launched its Seamless Summer Option Feeding Program on June 2, offering free breakfast and lunch every Monday through Thursday until July 24. Meals are served at five ISD campuses and an extra express lunch site at Brame Park with no registration required. KXXV

- ➤ Former Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III was named to the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame ballot by the National Football Foundation as announced Monday—he is among 79 players and nine coaches under consideration with final selections to be made in January and induction set for December 2026.
