A 27-year-old woman, Dasheka Vonte Wiley, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after she allegedly rammed a female pedestrian with her Jeep outside Econo Lodge on the I-35 North access road in Bellmead (6:35 a.m. Tuesday) following an argument, and officers later arrested her and booked her into McLennan County Jail (where she remains).

A 24-year-old man already on bail was arrested on felony animal cruelty charges in Bellmead after he threw a kitten onto a roof at about 1 a.m. Monday+ the injured kitten suffered a spinal injury and was seen dragging its back legs.
