- ➤ Jimmy Bennett of Waco started the JMB Fishing Foundation (founded in 2019) to give children with special needs or terminal illnesses outdoor adventures such as fishing trips and farm visits. His program, which connects kids with veterans and nature lovers, began after a 2018 trip changed his life and continues on through donations and volunteer support. FOX 44
- ➤ Shepherd's Heart food pantry has served Waco for 18 years in a city where the poverty rate is twice the national average — its warehouse, mobile trucks and walk-up service have helped feed over 100,000 families — and Diane Graham said a $50 donation can feed one family while volunteers work Monday through Friday. - ➤ Waco police identified 35-year-old Avinlea Yeatman as the motorcyclist killed when her motorcycle struck a Toyota Prius turning onto 46th St. just before 10:30 a.m. Monday on Bosque Blvd.—she died at the hospital and no arrests were made. KCENTV
