- ➤ Texas public schools will restrict student cellphone use starting this school year as a new law takes effect—school officials in Waco and other districts will set guidelines for exceptions and enforcement. - ➤ Waco City Council approved rezoning so that a builder can put up 63 homes in East Waco and set nine rules for developer Larry Jackson (to help with worries over extra traffic and not enough services) even though Timbercrest residents were against it.
