- ➤ Waco police sentenced 50-year-old Donald Ray Hackworth to three life sentences — with an extra 17-year term — after victims testified he abused a child when she was 11 and exposed another minor, and he must serve at least 30 years before parole following a case that began in 2020. FOX 44

- ➤ Waco will host the 2026 Bass Pro Tour third stage from March 5—8 when 51 top bass anglers compete for a $150,000 prize. The tournament will feature qualifying rounds at Lake Whitney and knockout finals at Lake Waco and is organized in partnership with local sports and tourism officials. KCENTV
