Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller said pasture mealybugs have spread to 80 counties and can destroy hay fields in days, Waco owner Gary Payne said.
Landowners are urged to inspect fields daily and use a new emergency chemical (details on the Texas Ag website) to protect crops.

Mart ISD announced that head football coach and athletic director Chris Lancaster resigned effective immediately just before today's game against Axtell.
Coach Kyle Stone will serve as interim head coach and athletic director.
