- ➤ Owners are seeking historic landmark designation for Marjorie Sanger’s 1952 home—designed in the International Style by Fehr and Granger at 3600 MacArthur Drive—and the former second H-E-B store is undergoing restoration that has earned city incentives and will soon become a Garden City Grocery with 10 new apartment units. - ➤ Today, La Vega ISD holds a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. at La Vega High School's rear parking lot — community members should use the rear gate on Wheeler and Barlow Streets — as the district begins building a new $41.5 million Early College High School campus. The 67,000 square foot facility will serve early college and CTE/P-Tech programs and is set to open in Fall 2026. KCENTV
