EDUCATION NEWS

  • Classrooms in many public schools in Waco now display posters of the Ten Commandments with educational and motivational messages on the walls.  Waco Tribune-Herald

SPORTS NEWS

  • Baylor Bears won a close 35-34 game against Kansas State at McLane Stadium — a blocked field goal and a pick-six by Jacob Redding gave them the win. The team now takes a bye week to recover and will play TCU on Oct. 18.  KXXV
  • Baylor University opened Baby Bear Family Lounges at McLane Stadium to give parents a climate-controlled space for feeding and changing their infants during games—each lounge has a TV so families can still watch the action. Cara Dumaplin, a Baylor parent and neonatal nurse who led the project, said the new lounges will help new parents enjoy games and may inspire other schools to offer similar spaces.  KXXV
