- ➤ Amazon has announced plans to build a 119,000-square-foot last mile delivery station in Robinson Business Park to expand its Waco-area operations, coming three years after its Exchange Parkway fulfillment center opened. Waco Tribune-Herald

- ➤ Today, 25 News and ABC are celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a special report on local stories in Central Texas—showcasing a Venezuelan immigrant’s restaurant in Killeen, local carniceria traditions, and Waco ISD students winning a national competition with their Spanish video. KXXV
- ➤ Asian Leaders Network will host its second annual Diwali Festival Saturday at Bridge Street Plaza (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) featuring Bollywood and traditional Indian dancers, vendor booths, arts and crafts, and a family scavenger hunt, celebrating the Festival of Lights. KXXV

- ➤ The City of Waco will perform routine water system maintenance from October 20 to November 17 by switching the disinfectant to free chlorine—residents may notice a slight change in taste or smell but water will remain safe to drink. City of Waco

- ➤ Baylor baseball coach Mitch Thompson announced the full 2026 schedule with 54 games, including 29 at Baylor Ballpark and a home opener against New Mexico State—its first game with New Mexico State in 10 years.
