- ➤ Waco welcomes Swing Golf Club, a new indoor virtual golf simulator on Washington Avenue opened by local Midway High School graduate Rafael Rodrigues — the club offers over 90 golf courses and about 20 games such as Basketball, Football, and Zombie Dodge ball with bay rentals, memberships, and lessons available daily. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Waco ISD said free breakfast and lunch will continue for the foreseeable future as a healthy balance in the Child Nutrition Fund supports the program despite SNAP possibly ending today. The district is also working with local groups to help families get extra food resources after school hours. KXXV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Waco-McLennan County Health District said the WIC program will remain funded through November 30, serving nearly 6,700 residents despite a government shutdown. The district warned that other health services may face reduced hours or closures after November 30 — urging careful planning. KXXV
