- ➤ Proposition 6 is on today's ballot and would ban new taxes on securities transfers—supporters say the measure will protect Texas investors and help grow Y'all Street while critics worry it could restrict future tax policy options. KXXV
- ➤ Waco homeowners will see a $1 drop in their water bill starting in January when the drainage fee falls from $6.55 to $5.55 — the city reduced the fee to help offset a new $4 street fee increase. KXXV
- ➤ Drivers in Waco face overnight lane closures on East Loop 340 at Williams Road from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday Nov. 7—DOT officials say one lane in each direction will remain open to ease travel. KCENTV

- ➤ Waco High School's Lion Pride Band finished 9th in its division at USBands Southwest Championships at AT&T Stadium in Arlington—earning recognition for its strong performance. KCENTV
- ➤ Baylor University students will celebrate the nation's oldest homecoming tradition with a bonfire ceremony ahead of a game on Saturday against UCF. The event will bring together students and alumni — uniting the Baylor community as they honor a tradition that has lasted for more than 100 years. KXXV
