Highway 6 over Lake Waco will have rolling closures Monday as crews haul in bridge caps
The Daily Waco team
If you cross Lake Waco on Highway 6, Monday needs a plan. TxDOT and its contractor will begin transporting precast bridge caps for the reconstruction of the SH 6 bridge, and because of their size the highway will close temporarily during each move.
Highway 6 will close briefly in two windows on Monday

TxDOT announced Thursday that drivers should be aware of rolling closures as reconstruction projects kick off over Lake Waco. The Waco Tribune-Herald reports the same two windows. Commuting or have an appointment across the lake? We suggest leaving earlier or taking another route during those hours. For background, the Tribune-Herald has a catch-up on the Twin Bridges replacement.
