One of the most beloved musicals of all time, Annie is a joyful, funny, and deeply uplifting story about hope refusing to quit. Winner of 7 Tony Awards including Best Musical , this Broadway classic has charmed generations with its irresistible humor, big heart, and unforgettable score. The New York Times called it “An exhilarating, heartwarming show.”

But this Annie comes with an artistic twist. While honoring the heart and spirit of the beloved classic, Waco Civic Theatre’s production brings a fresh visual and creative perspective to the world of Annie, inviting audiences to experience this familiar story in a whole new way.

Set in 1930s New York City during the Great Depression, the show follows Annie, a scrappy young orphan with a fearless spirit and an unshakable belief that life can get better. Determined to find the parents who left her behind, she escapes the hard-knock world of Miss Hannigan’s orphanage and lands in the home of billionaire Oliver Warbucks. What follows is a story full of laughter, adventure, unlikely friendships, and the kind of heart that can turn an entire room toward the light.

Featuring unforgettable songs like “Tomorrow,” “It’s the Hard-Knock Life,” and “Maybe,” Annie is the perfect night at the theatre for families, friends, and anyone who could use a little sunshine.

Recommended for all ages.
