- ➤ Bellmead police arrested a man accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend at her workplace—he then drove her away, according to an arrest affidavit. Waco Tribune-Herald
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The 9th Annual Waco Independent Film Festival expects 1,200 to 1,500 attendees, with 80% being local residents, as the Grand Lodge opens its space as a new venue partner. Festival artistic director Samuel Thomas said organizers are finalizing plans—including film screenings, panels, and parties—after selecting 20 films from 120 submissions. KXXV
