- ➤ On Monday at 3:39 p.m., McGregor police evacuated homes and businesses on North 3rd Street after a resident found a Mark 2 hand grenade in a storage building he purchased, prompting the McClennan County Sheriff’s Office bomb squad to confirm the device was inert — officials said it posed no explosive threat. - ➤ The City of Waco announced that Lake Brazos water levels will rise through Friday, July 25 due to releases from Lake Waco, Aquilla, and Whitney Reservoirs. The city will then lower the lake by two to three feet during system maintenance through early August—officials warn that water levels may change quickly without notice. KXXV
